As much as we so badly want to see some accountability, we also want to keep Ronli's memory alive and not let her death overshadow her life.

So much can be said about Ronli's personality and the lovely woman she was becoming. Wearing her heart on her sleeve, Ronli effortlessly spread joy and formed deep connections with those around her. She was a true sports enthusiast, cheering on her favorite athletes from Chipper Jones and the Atlanta Braves to Dale Ernhart, Jr. and nearly every sport in between.

At the time of her passing, she was on the cusp of discovering her true passions in art and design. Though her time on earth was tragically cut short at just 24 years, her impact on the lives she touched is immeasurable.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her adoring family, friends, and the many lives she impacted.

FACTS

On April 15, 2004, 24-year-old Ronli Ratliff was found murdered in her home in Mooresville, Indiana. Her body was discovered by firefighters responding to a blaze that had engulfed her residence. An autopsy revealed that she had been killed before the fire started. The case remains unsolved, with few leads and no suspects. The circumstances of her death, combined with the fire, suggest a deliberate attempt to destroy evidence and complicate the investigation. Despite efforts from law enforcement and appeals to the public for information, the murder of Ronli Ratliff remains a mystery.

The Focus of Our Efforts

Morgan County’s Cold Case Detective Team has been working diligently for Ronli Ratliff to solve her murder case, volunteering their time since taking over the case in 2016. Even with immense support from the Morgan County Sherrif's Department and Prosecutor's Office, the team does not always have the necessary resources readily available, and it can take time to fund the next phase of the investigation. With help from the community, we can aid the team’s efforts and help Ronli's loved ones find the closure they have so longed for.

Resolving Ronli’s case would not only bring closure to her family but could also improve the safety of our community by removing dangerous criminal(s) from our streets. Donating to Ronli’s memorial fund is helping to make your community safer, supports local law enforcement efforts, and is honoring Ronli’s memory.

Our primary objective is to pursue justice for Ronli while simultaneously honoring her memory through initiatives that actively support law enforcement efforts. RRMF aspires to create a positive impact within the community by extending assistance to individuals facing similar ordeals. The resources of RRMF are allocated to multifaceted endeavors. Even in the event of the resolution of Ronli's case, RRMF is steadfastly dedicated to persisting in advocacy for other open Indiana cold cases.
